In the cooler months of the year, we love to drink Holy Joe coffee warm, either on its own in classic espresso style or blended with milk or cream.
Heating up Holy Joe is a convenient way to get a high quality, deliciously smooth coffee at home.
Here are a few ways you can heat up your Holy Joe.
To make a Hot Cup of Joe on your stovetop, simply use a coffee pot or saucepan, pour your desired amount of Holy Joe in and heat over medium heat for around two to three minutes. From there, simply pour into a mug and enjoy straight or pair with your chosen mixer.
If you already have a coffee machine with a steam wand, you can simply steam your Holy Joe as you would normally steam milk. The coffee will change colour slightly and give you a thick crema for an easy (and smooth) alternative to normal espresso. We recommend only steaming for 10-15 seconds, before then removing and steaming your chosen milk separately - or steaming both together if you're in a hurry!
ADDING BOILING WATER
Some members of our family also love to make a hot Holy Joe brew by mixing cold Holy Joe with boiling water and adding butter or ghee, cacao and other adaptogenic or medicinal ingredients as desired, and blending together with a stick blender. You may need to make sure that there's enough water to heat up your chosen mix, but it's definitely an easy way to make an extra-medicinal brew!
