What is Holy Joe Coffee?

Holy Joe is a ready-to-drink, organic cold drip coffee infused with Australian-grown Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) and Maitake (Grifola frondosa) mushroom dual extracts. Brewed over 48 hours in Byron Bay, it delivers a remarkably smooth, low-acid cup with deep body and natural richness - bold without bitterness.

How is it made?

Cold drip is a drop-by-drop extraction process where chilled water passes slowly through freshly ground coffee over 48 hours. Unlike cold brew, which steeps and risks over-extraction, cold drip is precise and controlled. The result is a cleaner, smoother coffee with greater clarity and balance.

What mushrooms are in Holy Joe?

Each bottle contains dual extracts of two Australian-grown medicinal mushrooms:

• Shiitake (Lentinula edodes): a cornerstone of traditional Eastern wellness, studied for its role in immune cell proliferation, including gamma delta T-cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells. Rich in Lentinan, a specific beta-glucan that acts as a biological response modifier.
• Maitake (Grifola frondosa): known as the "Dancing Mushroom" in Japan, studied for its D-fraction compound which supports macrophage activity and interferon-gamma secretion. Research suggests Shiitake and Maitake work synergistically, producing a more robust immune response together than either mushroom in isolation.

Our mushrooms are cultivated from 100% fruiting bodies (never mycelium on grain), independently tested for beta-glucan content and purity, and free from pesticides and heavy metals.

What are the ingredients?

Charcoal-filtered water, organic coffee, Shiitake dual extract, Maitake dual extract, fermented plant extract (Nagardo).
